“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”   Hebrews 13:8

Equip Update

Three out of four Equip Students wrote their first monthly newsletters in August. If you have not already read those, please do. It is an insightful look into what the students are doing and how they are adjusting to life in Equip. Kai is the only student that has not yet written a newsletter because the students were on a mission trip during his writing week.

On August 17th, we (Danielle & I, and all 6 children) took the 4 students to Circle K on their first domestic mission trip. Circle K was a local day camp in the Pine Grove area, which is currently being used for church activities. While there, the group accomplished a lot of projects for the owners, including stocking their wood shed, cutting down trees, and more. See our Facebook page for pictures from the trip.

Around the Ministry in Bernville, PA

The Bernville ministry has had a flurry of activity in the last month. Renovations continue, and we were blessed to have a 2-church workgroup join us for the first couple days of the month. Please pray as we continue to restore and fix things around campus.

Sixteen missionary families picked up or returned vehicles this month. On September 19th, our commercial insurance policy will be changing and missionaries in or picking up vehicles will need to provide their own. Pray for the CMTS leadership as they determine what God’s direction is for this aspect of the ministry, and pray for the missionaries getting vehicles.

The warehouse has also been busy. Overseas missionaries have stopped by for supplies to places like Haiti, Uganda, etc. We are excited to see how God is moving and using the supplies He’s provided.

Belize

Roosevelt went to Belize to serve with Andy and Nancy for 2-3 weeks. We have not gotten an update from the Merricks, so please check the website’s CMTS Belize page to read past updates, and see future updates.

Through your help, prayers, and support of the ministry, your donations are used to reach the less fortunate, via educational resources, job training materials, basic needs, and supporting the full-time staff members who use their God-given talents to serve Him.

Sincerely,

Joel Smith, Director CMTS Ministries of Pennsylvania
