What We Believe

Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is inerrant and infallible and the final authority in all matters of life and faith (2 Tim. 3:16, 17).

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19; Eph. 4:6).

3. We believe in the pre-existence of Christ (Jn. 1:1-3), His deity (Heb. 1:8), His humanity (Jn. 1:14), His virgin birth, His sinless life (2 Cor. 5:20), in His miracles (Jn. 20:30, 31), in His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:4), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11).

4. We believe man was created innocent in the image of God but transgressed and fell in Adam. He is unable to recover himself. Eternal salvation is offered to man by faith in Christ in response to repentance toward God (1 Cor. 15:22; Jn. 3:16; Acts 20:21).

5. We believe that man cannot be saved apart from the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5). The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers the believer, enabling him to live the Christian life (Eph. 5:18; Rom. 8:9).

6. We believe the local church is for worship, Christian fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ (Jn. 17).

7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (1 Cor. 15).

Our 6 Core Values

1. Be all in - Whether it’s cleaning up after a job, encountering frustrating circumstances that always seem to pop up, or everything else, we do it ALL to the glory of God.

Ephesians 6:5-8; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Colossians 3:23-24

2. Be flexible - Trust God in His calling for you and in your weaknesses. Improve on them by seeking the Lord in all you do as best you can each day. Examples: Public Speaking, studying the Bible, people skills, praying out loud, approaching a new person first, etc. Never be content with the status quo or being stagnant. Trust God’s plan for you.

Proverbs 3:5-6; Romans 8:28

3. Be a blessing - Be joyous, uplifting, a good worker, and think of others. Lean not on our own feelings, but on what God commands of us to those around us. Depend on God; He is the only reliable source of strength!

Psalm 108:12-13; 2 Thessalonians 3:8; Proverbs 12:24

4. Have an attitude of gratitude - Negative energy is contagious. It puts us (and those around us) in a place of despair, selfishness, depression, and feeling unloved; it’s a spiral. Having a positive outlook comes by being thankful for the things we do have, appreciating the lessons we are learning, and loving the way God is moulding us because it puts us on God’s path. It’s a true joy that comes from seeking God and His strength each day. By seeking Him and thinking purposefully about what you can be thankful for in this day or moment, then calling attention to where God is working in your life, it will turn around your attitude, allowing the love of Jesus to shine through. We all have bad days; that’s just life. What you do and choose on those bad days is what matters. You can choose joy or sorrow.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Colossians 2:6-7

5. Belief to behavior - What the mind thinks about, the heart wants; what the heart wants, the body does.

Know. Be. Do.
Know who you are in Christ, know His commands, and let His love fill you.
Be basked in His glory and sit in awe of His power and mercy!
Do His work, obey His commands. Do what Jesus did by example.

Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 11:1-2

6. Continual growth - Never stop learning or growing. Keep seeking knowledge and wisdom from the Lord. Keep striving to be more like Jesus, our perfect example. You’ll never know enough, you’ll never be perfect, you will always have something to learn or work on. Keep striving to be more like Jesus, because that’s all He asks of us. We can’t be perfect, because then we would not need Him. Keep striving, keep going! With God, we can do this!

Galatians 6:9-10; 2 Peter 1:5-8 NLT
