Updates:
The CMTS Open House went really well. The atmosphere was lively and everyone enjoyed themselves. Unfortunately because of a bad weather forecast the attendance was light. On that day a lot of volunteers from local churches that support the ministry came out and helped run the event. We appreciate all their help. The day could not happen without the volunteers.
A Youth group from Grace Community Church in Allentown PA, came out to help run the open house. They then stayed for the following week and helped us tear down and helped with other projects. Earlier in the month, we had a youth group from Grace Church in Ohio. They helped clean up the property and set up for Open House. We also had a one-day youth group from Lebanon, PA. They were only here a day but helped with odd jobs around the ministry that needed to be done. Over the summer we really look forward to these workgroups coming out. A hard-working group of 15 teens can help us get more done in a week than we could have gotten done ourselves in a month. If anyone is looking for an opportunity for their church to get involved in a local service project, CMTS is an excellent option. There are separate quarters for men and women to stay and both areas can hold about 20 people. Contact administration if you would like to schedule a group or have questions.
The building project for the warehouse is moving along. At the moment we are waiting for some resources. The dirt work has all been roughed in the area. We are waiting also for a surveyor to come out and help get the final dimensions laid out. The next step is to pour the footers. See the prayer request section below for details.
Now that Open House is over we are focusing on trying to plan this winters Belize trip. We already have a shipping container with the trailer here ready to be packed. A second container with a trailer is already being worked on, so it should be here shortly.
We are trying very hard to promote CMTS to all the churches in the area. If CMTS has never has the opportunity to speak at your church, or if its been a long time since we’ve been to your church, please ask your pastor or missions committee about having us come out.
The summer rush is slowing down but we still have a lot of vehicles going out.
Prayer Requests:
Prayer for the Building Project:
We are going to need a lot of resources to pour the footers. We need Gods guidance on how to get this done.
Prayer for staff:
Please pray that God sends more staff our way. There are key positions that need to be filled to keep things running efficiently. Three of our biggest staff needs at the moment are Office Staff, Kitchen Staff, and Middle Management.
Also please pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual health for all our current staff.
As the ministry grows the need to keep things organized becomes a larger task. Please pray as God guides us through this transition.
