“O our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name” -1 Chronicles 29:13
Equip Update
The four Equip students will switch to their last vocation on February 27th. Grace & Emi will be working with Doug in the Auto Body Shop, Kai will be with Justin Darnell in the Warehouse, and David will be learning maintenance with Nolan. Keep an eye out for their newsletters to see what they’re learning.
On March 27th, they will be going to Monterrey for a missions trip, along with 6 staff members. As we prepare for this trip, please pray. Our goal is to evangelize, encourage, visit churches, and much more. Like last year, we plan to take suitcases full of supplies that will be handed out to those in need, and we still need rolling suitcases. If you would like to donate towards the trip, visit the Equip web page (Missions Trip Opportunities).
Around the Ministry in Bernville, PA
Two staff members flew to St. Louis to meet the team at Righteous Rides. Nick was able to see their process for maintaining vehicles, and we learned how their ministry functions and gathered ideas for the future. Their mechanics had a van ready for us to drive back to PA, and as some may have heard, it was an eventful trip. We are excited about this new fleet vehicle, which is already scheduled to go out with a missionary in March.
There have been many projects happening around the ministry: two volunteers have been organizing the wood shop which will be used for future Equip classes, and Nolan and the students remodeled the laundry room and a staff member’s bathroom. The septic system still needs to be replaced, and we recently learned it will cost more than anticipated. We are getting quotes from different companies, while seeing the blessings in this situation. For example, God has blessed us with a mild winter and prevented further problems for the septic.
The banquet held on February 23rd was a success! We met new people and raised awareness about the different things happening at CMTS. If you weren’t able to make it, but still want to donate to support the ministry, check out our website for a link to Kindful, or consider sending a check to the ministry.
Belize
The Belize trailer finally arrived at its destination after nearly a month of preparation and travel, and minimal issues. We look forward to hearing from Andy and Nancy about how the items packed were a blessing to others. Please pray for the group going to Belize for a week in March, who will help the Merricks as needed.
Looking for a way to get involved? As the ministry grows, we become aware of the many gaps to fill at both campuses. Bernville is looking for a chef, a mechanic, warehouse workers or volunteers, office help, and more. Belize is looking for workgroups, teachers, etc. To learn more, contact the office at cmtsministries@gmail.com.
