Pete’s Post | December 2023

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

I’m doing much better with my medication and the lymphedema.

The long ride to Charlotte didn’t bother and it was a wonderful mission trip. The Operation Christmas Child processing facility blew us away with the scope and detail – 11 Million gospel opportunities this year through simple shoe boxes. They are the key to open the door for the real gift of the gospel. Pray that each shoe box gets safely to the child that God intends and their hearts are open to accept God’s gift of salvation.

If God provides we would like to go to the OCC processing in Aurora, IL in February to pack the online shoe boxes that go to closed countries.

We toured JAARS, Jungle Aviation and Relay Services where we were able to see the amazing things they do, speak with some wonderful missionaries, and hear their stories.

We also had a virtual tour of Samaritan’s Purse headquarters and that was inspiring. You will probably hear more on that later.

We did purchase the bus (owe $400 more) so Ray can start redoing that into a travel home for when God says we are done here and it’s time to move to the next place of service that he has planned.

I’m still working on Fridays taking care of a sweet lady with alzheimers and working in Good News Club on Thursdays.

I never know where to find Ray now that he’s doing all kinds of maintenance instead of being in the garage. He could be doing flooring, painting, electrical, sump pumps, computers or any number of other projects of which there is never a shortage. He has been enjoying having an Equip student with him in the afternoons. If you know of any recent graduates who are still wondering what God has next for them refer them to our website to check out the dates for the gap year program open house.

The Equip students and much of the CMTS staff are in Georgia this week on a mission trip building the interior of a missionary office/home.

We enjoyed a short visit from our Maine missionary friends, the Dowdys this week. We do love company.

Lord willing we will be traveling to Maine next week for the Holidays and we will be able to connect with a lot of you. If you want to get together let us know.

Thanks for your faithful prayers and support that makes all this possible.

Have a very Merry Christmas as you celebrate our Savior’s birth.
