Equip Update
Our four Equip students, Aidan, Donny, Caleb, and Logan leave for Mexico on April 2nd with Nolan & Jenny Lapp, Joel, Danielle, & Ace Smith, Justin Darnell, and Sandra DaMore. They will spend 10 days in Monterrey, Mexico, evangelizing and serving alongside the YWAM base there. Please pray that this trip is effective in saving souls for Christ and that the students’ lives will be changed by how they see God moving.
There will be one more Open House before the new Equip year. If you know someone who is graduating and may be a good fit for the program, direct them to the Equip page on the CMTS Ministries website! We would love to answer any questions. So far, we have 2 potential students for next year, but neither has committed yet.
Around the Ministry in Bernville, PA
There has been a steady flow of vehicle repairs going through the Automotive Shops. Nick VanWert and Sam Adams continue to receive vehicle donations while handling repairs for staff, missionaries, ministries, etc. On the other hand, Doug Sylva had been praying for more work, and the Lord provided! He and Hilda will be leaving on their mission trip to Holland on April 2nd. Please pray for them as they talk with friends who have been on their hearts. Holland, like the US, has slowly become more progressive-minded, so Doug & Hilda have a burden for their family and friends there.
We received a donation of 20 pallets of Gatorade in the Warehouse! Justin Darnell plans on using the Gatorade for One Luv’s summer outreach. He and the amazing volunteers have been working on organizing and manifesting the construction trailer and the middle aisle of the warehouse. The plan is to remove the older stock to make room for high-demand supplies; we had to turn down a shipment of school supplies due to a lack of room. Pray for wisdom in moving things around. One of our volunteers, Brian, has been fixing a 16’ box truck, which is sure to be a blessing. We are so grateful for all of our incredible volunteers!
Our wonderful maintenance man, Ray Pete, and Aidan are almost finished with the soffit, but were distracted by a different project: the old racecar we were donated. He’s also been working to fix Logan’s dead laptop: “Ray’s since been working with me to disassemble the ‘guts’ of my laptop, and repair anything else that needed improving along the way; like my fan, which had so much dust clogging it up it looked like it hadn’t taken a breath of fresh air since the ’90s (It’s only about a 3 year old laptop). So, a huge thanks to Ray… I’m very thankful for him and everything he’s taught me.”
Leam Nicholaides continues to restore the relationship with the township. His current projects include the apartments above the automotive shop, the split building donation, and the Training Center. Pray for wisdom for Leam as he navigates things many of us find difficult to understand and struggle to handle well.
We hosted another Serve Day on March 29th! Sandra DaMore is an excellent organizer and planned everything well. She successfully led approx. 40 people into a project that’s been long in the works. The clothing trailer is now organized and available for ministries to use! One Luv has benefited greatly from this project’s completion, and we look forward to how God will use it!
Belize
Nancy Merrick and John Debkowski returned from Belize on March 23rd. Nancy’s hip surgery is scheduled for April 16th; please pray for her! In her most recent update, she mentioned Andy is staying behind to man the fort, and is praying the Lord will send men to work with him while she is gone.
