Over the course of 10 months, you will take classes while also spending 9 weeks in each trade on campus. The classes during the week are to build and strengthen your faith (apologetics, renewal of the mind) and equip you with basic life skills (budgeting, resume building). The classes allow for sharing and questions as the class sizes are small.  Our students over the years have really enjoyed that and it has allowed them to grow so much in a short period of time. One of our students this year even said "I learned more this year this all my previous years in school!"

Your vocation time gives you the opportunity to try a few different trades, build skills in each area, then use those skills in either the secular work field or the mission field, depending on where God is calling you. You do not have to be a skilled trades person to join Equip! We want you to try and see what gifts you may have that you do not even know about yet. Equip is a great opportunity to try new things and to find out what you are capable of. If you are looking to take the year to see what you can do and challenge yourself then Equip is for you!
