“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24
Equip Updates
Robert and Charles started Equip at the beginning of the month, and a few days after the start of the year, we had one more Interest Form submitted. After much prayer and deliberating, Nolan & Jenny Lapp felt God telling them to say yes to just one more student. Malakai arrived from Colorado and folded right into the mix. The Saturday prior to his arrival, Nolan, Donny, Robbie, & Charles took a 6 hour kayaking trip down the Schuylkill River.
Their first mission trip to Colorado is coming soon in September. Please pray for smooth travels and growth as a group and individuals!
Each of them is still actively raising support to cover the cost of tuition, so if you know someone who would be interested in investing in the next generation, please contact us!
At the Ministry in Bernville, PA
Warehouse Distribution Center
It had been close to a month before we got another donation run, but God has continued to provide. We got a donation of toilet paper, which was a huge blessing for our ministry and the ministries we serve!
Justin has been making runs to Reading to help move a partner ministry, One Luv. We are praying that they are able to find a new location for their ministry, specifically one with a loading dock and enough storage for their holiday outreaches and weekly Sunday events. We would love to have more volunteers in the Warehouse, so if you are looking for a place that is fun to serve and where you can learn new skills, or if you are organized and want to put those skills to use, let us know! We’d love to talk with you about different service opportunities.
Automotive Shops
The front of the Auto Shop is newly paved! We were so excited to see this needed project come to fruition. It only took a few hours for the crew to finish, and Joel was able to take a time lapse of the whole process.
The company we worked with is owned by someone that Joel met on a mission trip. They were such a blessing as they worked within our budget, offering a price significantly lower than any other place we’d seen. We are now looking forward to next steps of getting lines painted!
We have been blessed with a few more vehicle donations, which is one of the best ways you can help support the ministry. A recent donation of a small Chevy car has been a blessing for Doug and his family. The Darnells were glad to have a new-to-them Toyota Sienna. And many pastors and ministry leaders have been able to replace their vehicles thanks vehicle donations to CMTS.
Don’t forget that you can get your vehicle worked on at the Auto Shop, too! Visit cmtsministries.com to schedule an appointment.
Maintenance, Hospitality, & More
The Equip room is finally finished, and has already been used for classes and a movie night with the students. Ray’s extensive knowledge includes laying carpet properly, which greatly benefitted us. He was able to use this project as an opportunity to teach Robbie how to lay carpet and vinyl flooring in Joel & Nolan’s offices.
The next step for the new offices is to get Joel & Nolan moved above the Auto Shop. We can then move Leam into additional housing, bring Sandra & Wyatt on campus, and then focus back on the main offices moving next to Joel & Nolan’s. You can keep up to date with this on Facebook, or call the Front Office. There’s a lot to be done, so if you’re wondering how you can help, let us know!
CMTS Texas
Joel visited a property in Sullivan City, Texas. Our contacts in Texas/Reynosa told us about a property that their ministry bought a few years ago, but that they haven’t used for much more than storage. They shared with Joel that, after purchasing the property, they were praying over it and seeking God’s direction in how He was going to use it. They felt God saying that it would be used for vocations, but as they are a church planting ministry, they weren’t sure how that was going to work. Our vision for the property would include Equip, vocational training, a mechanic shop, & warehouse.
Nothing is set in stone, but we ask that you pray with us as we follow God’s leading. Having a second base in Texas would be a blessing to the people in Sullivan City, McAllen, Reynosa, Monterrey, and even further south of the border. The area we are looking at is in need of a ministry that will teach young people skills. Since we will be close to Mexico, it will also create low cost opportunities to more frequently ship necessary items that will further the spread of the Gospel to these areas. Please join us in praying for this!
Mission Opportunities
Volunteer with Us
Every ministry has need of two things: finances and people. We want to encourage you to give your time if you are unable to give money! The Warehouse could use someone to help pickup donations, the Auto Shop needs another mechanic, Equip needs teachers; almost every area has a need. Are you willing to help meet that need? Send us an email below!
