Where to start uhhhhh
October hasn’t been too exciting recently. We are kind of in a constant routine from day to day. Wake up, morning meeting, classes, lunch, and then our vocation. Our vocation changes every month so for right now I’m in maintenance. Yesterday, Mike and I ripped apart and sorted about 100 pallets to ship all over the place. We burned quite a lot of them because they were rotten or they had a bunch of rusty nails in them. Last week, I was working with Ray and Leam to wire some offices and install outlets and that was fun.
What I’ve been learning
I’ve been learning a lot of cool things, I learned how electrical current runs from the powerlines all the way to your phone. I learned how to plug skidloader tires, (Mike used fire which you’re not supposed to do). Leam taught me how to re-wire basically everything practical in a building. Ray taught me how to hack (download files) into computers and drill holes in buses, we had a lot of fun with that second part. On the spiritual level, we’ve been going to a class at church called “Thrive” which I really enjoy. Right now we are learning about how to seek the Holy Spirit in our day to day lives.
Other Stuff
Next year I plan to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for their Diesel program. I have a little bit of experience in that field and I hope to learn a few things while I’m here before next year. Nick deals with gassers (gas cars) but I think even knowing the basics about how an engine is put together and stuff like that would be beneficial.
We currently have three classes here at CMTS a week. An apologetics class on Monday mornings taught by Pastor John. On Tuesdays, it’s a class on a Francis Chan book taught by Mrs. Lopez. Finally on Thursday nights we have a class taught by Kyle, (he’s a scary military man) who teaches us a Ken Ham book about how to be rooted in our faith.
Thanks, Chuck =)
