Stories with Sandra | November | Issue #13

Wow! Here we are again! November absolutely flew by! Maybe it’s because I’m getting older or because I love the life God has given me: the opportunity to serve at CMTS, my marriage, my wonderful family, the community I have around me, and all of God’s blessings in my life!

In a conversation with my sister the other day we talked about how many true riches we have in our lives. It just blows me away when I choose to dwell in a place of fixing my mind on the things God has blessed me with. I’m not talking about finances or possessions. I’m talking about things that money can’t buy like family, marriage, and purpose and drive for life. Those things don’t touch the surface of the spiritual blessings we have in Christ like true freedom, peace, joy, the Holy Spirit, the fact that God loves us and wants a relationship with us, the truth that there is no such thing as hopelessness because of Jesus and the list goes on! These are truths that remain true regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in. We have so much to be thankful for! 🙂

November Highlights

Sunday the 2nd Joel and Danielle put together an appreciation dinner for the staff and volunteers. We ate a really nice meal together (that I didn’t have to prepare or clean up from wahooo!), and Joel put together a slide show of the ministries, people, and places that have been impacted by CMTS the past 5-6 years. It was a lot! The amount of missions trips that have happened to different countries and states was incredible. The number of ministries served by the warehouse and then the people blessed by all of those local ministries! There were many missionaries and pastors who we helped with low-cost work on their cars! It was really encouraging to be reminded of the impact CMTS is having. And by God’s grace we will keep going!

Friday the 7th we did our staff Thanksgiving celebration. We always do a get together with the staff and their families for each of the major holidays. We’ve started doing breakfasts which has been fun to change it up a bit. These are always fun because all the families come and it’s a fun way to start the day!

Sunday the 16th we got to go to the skating rink with the EQUIP students, my siblings, Dad and Leam! That was a lot of fun! It had been so long since I’d been skating! We used to go every weekend but that kind of slowed down in the recent years. We had a really fun time!

Friday the 21st – 23rd we got to go camping with my sister, her boyfriend, and my brother! We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a cabin OF COURSE. Who would go tent camping when it’s below freezing at night!? I guess you could say we were “glamping”. We had some really great fellowship and made some good memories together 🙂

Wyatt and I also had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

I think that sums up the month pretty well! I also wanted to add some pictures of the progress of the new offices above the shop! Everything is looking so nice! So now Leam is working on renovating what will be his new apartment (Joel & Nolan’s old offices). Once that is complete Leam will be moving in there and then Wyatt and I will move into my old apartment!

Praises & Prayer Requests

  • I’m so thankful to see the progress that is happening in the renovations. Please continue to pray that all the materials & funds will be provided and that the work will go smoothly.
  • Wyatt already got a deer this year! That’s such a huge blessing for us financially to not have to buy meat, unless we want chicken.
  • March 13th is the Food Fest Fundraiser! Pray for the entire event. Save the date on your calendar and invite some friends to come out and enjoy some awesome food from around the world!!

Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support! Wyatt and I greatly appreciate it. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you enjoy the Christmas season!
