December Highlights
December 5th we had our Christmas staff get together. We had a wide spread of food that everyone brought for breakfast and good fellowship! We played a game where you hold a paper plate on top of your head and then draw different things that are Christmas themed even though you can’t see a thing! It was really funny to see people’s plates when we were finished! You get points for correct placement of things like Christmas tree ornaments, fireplace or stockings ect.
December 12th – 14th the Boys Brigade came to serve with us! They have been coming to CMTS since 2001. This year was a group of 7; 5 high schoolers and 2 leaders. Saturday they helped us with various projects in the warehouse and sorted all the unsorted clothing in the clothing trailer!! They were such a blessing to us and it was so great having them here again!
Renovations in the old office area, new offices and basement continue! Things are changing really fast with the help of all the skilled volunteers who come weekly and some every other day. God has really blessed us with so much help and support. It’s one way He shows us who He is. He is our provider and He’s been providing a lot of skilled help in the construction of new apartments and offices!
Wyatt and I got invited to go with EQUIP on their mission trip to Mexico! We are going February 18th – 26th. This trip will be an evangelism/work trip. We are hoping to raise $12,000 to build another Homes of Hope which would take up 3 days of the trip. Then for the remaining time we’ll spend doing ministry in other places (drug rehab, pallet down, hospitals ect.). Please consider partnering with us though prayer and supporting us financially. Wyatt and I will need to raise $1,200 each in order to go!
Praises & Prayer Requests
- December 29th a new commercial stove was delivered! Someone donated the money for us to buy a new stove for our kitchen!!! This is so exciting and a huge blessing! We got it all hooked up thanks to our maintenance crew and volunteers and it has been working so great too! The ovens get up to temperature and stay there! It’s so nice and clean which is a nice reset to keeping it clean! God is so good!
- Please be praying for our trip to Mexico! I will send a flyer with more information and you are welcome to contact me to ask questions you might have. Pray that God would prepare the hearts of everyone going. Pray for the people we’ll encounter that God would be working in their lives. And most of all pray that God’s will would be done on this trip and that His Kingdom would be multiplied by this.
