Friday, January 2nd the kitchen officially opened back up and most of the staff were back to work. The EQUIP students came back from winter vacation Monday, January 5th. And we all got back into the flow of things!
Mexico
Preparations for our Mexico trip are going well! Enough money has been raised to pour the foundation of the house, build it, furnish it and buy the family groceries! That’s a total of $12,000! Praise God! We are also preparing a children’s program to do while we’re there which is exciting! While we’re there we’ll be staying at a YWAM base in Monterrey. I’ve enjoyed getting to know staff at this YWAM base and the one we went to in St Vincent. It’ll be really cool to see them again and introduce them to Wyatt who was my fiance when I first met them! Wyatt and I have so far raised $740 out of $2,400. Please pray for our trip that God would use us and that His will would be done through our lives! Pray for the family we are building a home for that they would see God’s love for them through this. Pray that we would be able to encourage the staff on the YWAM base too!
Food Fest
Danielle and Joel are working really hard to coordinate and plan for our Food Fest Fundraiser March 13th. There’s going to be so many different types of food and drinks all made by different people. Each person making a food or drink represents a ministry (locally or abroad). Throughout the night there will be a silent auction, time for food and fellowship, and the opportunity to hear from different ministries. This is also an opportunity to see how CMTS has been impacting the world!! I am so excited to go and I’d love to see you there because last year was awesome!
Personal Life
This month has been filled with a lot of awesome things! Over our little break I got to spend some extra time with my siblings which was great! I got snowed in at my sisters for one of the snow storms, that was lots of fun! Lately I’ve been jogging a couple times a week. I’ve absolutely loved getting back into this old hobby too! It’s so beautiful listening to worship music and being outside. We got to go snowboarding which was great! A lot of bruises and sore muscles the next day for sure! My sister is engaged! 🎉Wyatt and I are so so happy for her and her fiance!
Praises & Prayer Requests
- The new oven in our kitchen has been working so well!! What a huge blessing it has been to have an oven that heats up to temperature!
- Things are continuing to move on quickly with renovating this new apartment! We’re really thankful for all the very skilled volunteer help we have. Wyatt and I should be moved on campus by the spring!
- Please continue to pray for our trip to Mexico. Pray that Wyatt and I would be able to raise the rest of the funds we need to go. That God’s will would be done through our hands and the words we speak. We want to be used by God to bring His kingdom to earth! We are so so excited and thankful for this opportunity!
