Doug & Hilda Sylva

Body Shop Supervisor & Discipleship

Doug and Hilda came to serve at CMTS in 2018, having previously served some years before that. They have 4 children and 6 grandchildren, one of whom is currently serving at CMTS with them. They both are always smiling and prepared to encourage and uplift their fellow coworkers in Christ.

Doug, as the Body Shop Supervisor, gets the loaner fleet cars ready for missionaries. He does all the prep work on the cars and paints them if necessary. He also has some men under him who he teaches and mentors to become more like Christ.

Hilda serves at CMTS in a variety of ways. Primarily, she supports Doug and her family, but she also helps elsewhere as needed. She joyfully and happily does things like gardening, landscaping, painting, sewing, and watching/teaching the preschool-aged children that live at CMTS with their families.
