Adams Family Newsletter | August 2023

Dear Friends and Family,

We trust this letter finds you well and blessed. We are so thankful for the summer that God has just brought us through. We want to provide you with some updates on our family, the ministry, and our praises and prayer requests.

Family Update:

Jackson and Tucker just successfully completed their first week at Parkland High School. Jackson is in his final year, while Tucker is embarking on his first. Please pray for them to be a shining light for Jesus and to experience His blessings and protection in their academic journey.
We also covet your prayers for our personal walks with God and the strength and growth of our marriage. We are so grateful for our good health and also for God’s supplying of all our needs. In His gracious provision, we were blessed with the funds to purchase a ministry car through CMTS. This support has been a tremendous encouragement to us. Thank you to each of you who were a part of this gift to us.

Ministry Update:

CMTS welcomed a new Equip Class a few weeks ago with five students from various locations, including Bethel, PA, New York, Colorado, Michigan, and Holland. This means that the website is working! Thanks to a Christian nonprofit, Christ Link, we have expanded the area of students reached so more people can hear about Equip. All the guys seem to be very interested in learning more of the Word, gaining new skills and serving the Lord. You can read about each of them on our website here. Pray for their year to be fruitful both in their personal lives and the life of CMTS.
The septic system project has been completed successfully, and is very near to being totally paid for. It’s working great and the grass is already growing in beautifully.
In the Automotive Shop, Sam and Nick VanWert have several projects underway, including setting up a new office area, repairing vehicles for local churches, ministries, and missionaries as well as training the Equip interns.
Shipments around the world continue to make a significant impact. One shipment went out to Belize in July. Pastor Situma from Kenya also arrived in late July to fill another container from the warehouse and other sources to send to his country. A recent shipment to Haiti carried essential supplies, including a substantial amount of rice to feed the hungry and open doors for sharing the gospel. It is still in transit. Please pray for its safe arrival and its powerful impact on furthering the Kingdom.
Our warehouse is currently averaging 5 ministries a week coming to pick up supplies and our partnership with Righteous Rides has been smooth and exciting, with vehicles flowing in and out of the ministry.
The ministry in Belize continues to grow, with Andy Merrick leading the efforts. A convoy of vehicles recently left Bernville and arrived after a 15-day journey, taking not only supplies but also a tower for a Christian radio station to spread God’s Word in the Belizean airwaves. Additionally, the Merricks distributed care packages to 20 Belizean households.
We are still in need of a chef and other volunteers the Bernville campus. Even having a chef volunteer once a week would be amazing. If you’re interested, please contact us at info@cmtsministries.com. See below for another upcoming service opportunity. We thank the Lord for each of you and your unwavering support. You are a source of great encouragement to us and to the ministry of CMTS. The role you play as team members can not be overstated!
We love you.
We need you.
We could not serve without you,
Sam & Melissa Adams
