This last month here at Equip has been incredible. For my first work experience, I was placed in the warehouse with Justin. This excited me because it reminded me a lot of my old job. Because the environment was so similar, it really helped me adjust to the program and get into a solid routine.
While in the warehouse, the opportunity for a shipping container came up. I was privileged to help stack, weigh, and load the pallets of food, school supplies, clothing, and much more. Eventually, after all the arrangements were made, all four of us Equip students were able to load the container up and send it on its way. This has so far been my favorite experience of Equip because we will be a part of a massive impact on hundreds of Haitians. The food and supplies we sent, will help them survive in the impoverished nation that is Haiti.
In addition to my work experience, I have been taking different classes. Volunteers from churches are taking the time to help train up my fellow classmates and me in the areas of finances, apologetics, and identity in Christ, all from a biblical perspective. It’s neat to see people investing time into our lives even though they could be doing something more fun. To all the sponsors of CMTS Ministries, and of the Equip students, thank you so much for the opportunity you have given us. It’s amazing to be a part of this ministry and to help serve others, and ultimately, God.
Sincerely, Aidan Doorn.
