Caleb’s Introduction
Hi, my name is Caleb Hall, I am 19 years old, and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and how I came to the Equip program.
I was born and raised in the Binghamton area of New York my whole life, with three brothers and two sisters. My parents are both Christians, and my mom homeschooled me for all 12 grades. I accepted Jesus when I was 4, but, being so young, I barely remember it. Even though that was 15 years ago, I am still just a baby Christian, still on milk and not ready for the meat of the Word, as Paul says in Hebrews 5. I hope that in my time here at CMTS, I grow in my knowledge and relationship with God.
I am a pretty out-going guy. I like hanging out with family and friends and getting to know them better. I have a passion for old cars and trucks, and old tools, and radios, and furniture…if it’s old but still useful, I like it. Because my preferences lie in stuff from often-times decades ago, I have been called a grandpa more than once. But getting back to cars, I have been noticing them for as long as I can remember. I have most American makes and models memorized going back 50 years or more, and I do favor station wagons. I also enjoy working. I work on cars of course, but I also like to do landscaping and farm work.
I found out about CMTS from my grandpa. He is in ministry and had bought a car from CMTS years ago. Last September his car rusted out, so he decided to buy one from CMTS again. I drove him down to buy the car, and Joel told me about the Equip program. It attracted me right away because it combined two things I really enjoy: cars, and helping others. I came down again for the Equip open house in December, and I was hooked. I am really excited about this program, and am looking forward to learning a bunch of useful skills while growing in Christ.
So long,
Caleb
