Howdy,
It’s time once again for me to yap all about the things going on in my life until y’all get sick of it and stop reading. This last month has been full of stuff and I have lots of upcoming adventures too. It’s gonna be a long one, from the Fun Fest, to Equip updates, and more! I will also include the things that are coming up, but for now let’s focus on catching you up.
Fun Fest
In my last newsletter I wrote about the preparation of the Fun Fest, and we saw all the hard work pay off. Through that event as well as some other channels, we paid for the driveway of the Auto Shop to be paved! The Fun Fest went really well and it seemed everyone who came enjoyed it. I had the honor of running the car smash event, which was great for me because I got to watch all the destruction and then participated in some more after the event had ended. All in all I was very encouraged by this event, the amount of volunteers who showed up to help, and the outcome.
Work Projects

There were two main projects we worked on this month in the Warehouse. First, we were able to work again with an OCC warehouse (Operation Christmas Child) and set up some more pallet racking. A few days later, we found ourselves close to Philly helping a fellow organization move some of their offices to a different location. Different from what we normally do, but it was still a blessing for us and for them. Other than that, we have slowly been taking back room and cleaning up the Warehouse from the business of the past months.
Equip
July 24th, I moved up to the dorm in preparation for the new students who started on August 4th. I have always enjoyed the dorm lifestyle and this has been no different. It provides accountability, good conversation, and most importantly growing towards God together. I feel very blessed to be able to serve in a program that really helped me find my footing and see what God had for me next. With Equip comes missions trips, which is one of the upcoming events I was mentioning. In the middle of September, we are going to Colorado as a team. I am very excited to go for several reasons, including the mountains, getting to travel, and more, but mostly because there are people at the base that I have served with in the past. However, this trip brings me to my next point.
Funds
I think by now it is clear I don’t love talking about and asking for money. I avoid it as much as I can out of trust in God for provision. However, someone recently brought up to me that when we ask God, sometimes the answer is to ask His people. I need to raise $550 for the Colorado trip. God is already moving in providing work for me to do and by making the trip so cheap. But I still need more help with this trip and general life stuff.
I am selling my car, but in order to do that, there are some general maintenance/cosmetic things I need to pay for that would greatly affect the price. I have not been able to put anything aside so far because I am simply not making enough to save. I am continuously giving these things to God and trying to see what He has for me in this.
This letter is another example of me asking Him and expecting to receive, as His word says. Would you be willing to partner with me?
Checks can be sent to 1119 North Boundary Rd, Bernville PA, 19506 and written to CMTS Ministries with a note attached that specifies it is for me.
I also have Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/DChecket23
If you prefer online donations, here is a handy link to take you to my fundraising page: https://cmts.kindful.com/?campaign=1257433
I am also willing to do some odd jobs for those of you who donate or have work that needs done. I believe God can, and will, work through work. CMTS will remain my top working priority, which means I will be working around the schedule I have here to fulfill these possible jobs. If you want to know more or have anything for me, please let me know!
Praises & Prayer Requests
More than finances, what I need is prayer. We serve a God who hears. Matthew 7:7-8 says “Ask and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” As you think of me this month, please pray/praise God for:
- Encouragement
- Finances
- Paying Jobs
- My Relationship
- Better sleep
- Praise that God is moving
- Praise for where I am
Thank you guys for your prayers and giving, it really is an encouragement to hear from all of you.
