Equip Updates

The Equip students, Nolan & Jenny Lapp, Sandra & Wyatt Kline, and Joel departed on February 19, for what was supposed to be an 8 day mission trip. Instead, God had other plans and extended their stay to 12 days. The weekday ferry to the island of Mayreau was broken down, and the only available ferry runs on Saturdays. This delay provided them the opportunity to get a little more work done for Ben & Jes Tangert and serve the ministry there, as well as spend more time investing in the people on the island.

The first week of April, they will be leaving for their Mexico trip. Please pray for them as they share the love of Christ with whomever they meet.

Warehouse Distribution Center

The number of ministries impacted by the Warehouse Distribution Center continues to grow. Each week, we have at least 5 ministries visit and receive necessary items to help them serve. From crisis pregnancy centers to churches to street ministries, the wide range of donations that we receive are all generally distributed quickly.

Lisa has been looking into contacting other local warehouses, in the hopes that they will consider us as a source for damaged pallets, returned stock, etc. Please pray that she and the others serving in the Warehouse would find good sources of more donations so that we can serve even more people.

Now that the EQUIP students are rotating through vocations again, Sam has joined Aidan & Justin for box truck runs to pick up donations or drop them off. During this time in the box truck, Justin has the chance to minister and disciple the students. Pray for continued conversations and more of those opportunities!

Automotive Shops

It’s been a little over a year since the Auto Shops have been open to the public. We’ve been blessed to see so many missionaries ministries, and others dedicated to serving Christ benefit from using the Auto Shop. Having these services open for non-ministry individuals has also been helpful in supplementing the shop income, allowing it to bless and further serve the ministry.

We’re still in need of help for Nick and are trusting God to continue to provide as He always has. That being said, if you are a mechanic or know one with spare time, feel free to contact us!

Maintenance, Hospitality, & More

Things with the apartments above the shops are still in progress and we would appreciate your prayers for this situation. Our plan is to go to one of the township meetings and talk with the supervisors about getting our permits through. We need these apartments done so that we can have more housing. Please continue to pray for Leam and Joel as they work on this.

The month of February and March, Mike had his knee surgery and is in recovery. In addition, Ray has been having some blood pressure issues; please pray for him & Debbie, as well as Mike & Lisa. With two maintenance men down, we are trusting God to keep things unbroken here!

Sandra will be heading up multiple summer work groups again and we are super excited to see that ministry growing again. Thanks to Covid we’ve had very few churches, youth groups, and schools visit in the last couple years, but now that things are returning to normal, we are glad to see youth and adults and anyone willing to serve come out and serve with us.

This month we were blessed to have our newest addition to the CMTS team. After spending four months in DTS in Monterrey, Mexico, Donny Checket, an EQUIP alum, returned and was asked to come on staff and serve in the Warehouse. We are very excited to have him back and know that this is going to be a blessing for both him and for all of us .

Stories with Sandra | Mayreau

“February 19th to March 2nd, EQUIP went to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for a mission trip! We went for hurricane relief and to help a YWAM base rebuild from Hurricane Beryl. It was an awesome week! We helped the YWAM base rebuild a cabin that had been destroyed in the hurricane. Their buildings are made out of blocks so the EQUIP students laid block for the first time and loved it! They recently got 4 sea containers of donations in so we helped them sort through donations to help them get ready for future distributions.

So many things inside the sea containers were from our Warehouse! It was so encouraging to see items from our Warehouse in another country that would soon be in the hands of people who had lost everything. At CMTS we don’t always get to see the end of where all the things go that we give away. I think that when we get to see that part it reminds us of the reason we do what we do everyday, and that what we do has so much purpose and impact for the Kingdom of Christ!

Our goal was to do whatever work we could for the YWAM base, encourage the staff there, and reach the community! We got to spend time walking around in the community asking people about their story and if there was anything we could help them with. We got to encourage many of the locals that the God they learn about in the Bible is real and that He loves them! We were also able to spend some time helping a gentleman named Patrick with his house. He was demoing the rest of his home so that we could rebuild. We helped him shovel the gravel and rocks. What took our team 3 hours would’ve taken him weeks!

It was such a blessing to go to Mayreau! It was an honor to serve the community there. It was encouraging to see how God is using CMTS to reach the world! And it’s such a beautiful place to go! To see His creation display His character! It was an awesome trip!”

CMTS Carnival Fundraiser

Mark your Calendars for the CMTS Carnival Fundraiser on July 19th, 2025! More details will follow, but for now we want you to know to be there at 11AM, entry is free, tickets to play games or buy food will be available for purchase at ticket booths.

Monterrey, Mexico Mission Trip

While in Mexico, we will be helping Compasión Ministry build on to their men’s rehab location. In addition, we will be visiting churches where you will experience Christian culture in Mexico, and evangelizing with Compasión. As always, there will be a rest day where we will tour the city, and throughout the week times when we will enjoy the local cuisine (tacos and so much more)!

Montego Bay, Jamaica Mission Trip

We will be helping to build onto a school for the deaf as well as assist with a medical missions team, from Global Hope International, that will be going down with us. We will be praying for people as we go and help build or with the medical missions. We will get to visit the city, go sightseeing, and of course eat local yummy food!
