July 2025 at CMTS Ministries

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24

Equip Updates

We had our second Equip students sign up for the year mid July! Interestingly, after registration closed, we had 2 more interest forms submitted as well. It seems that the program is still garnering attention, and we are excited to see how the year goes with our two students.

They will arrive August 4th and begin their vocations August 6th. Nolan & Jenny Lapp have been working hard to prepare for the year all summer. We are confident in their abilities to oversee the program.

At the Ministry in Bernville, PA

Warehouse Distribution Center

After nearly 3 months of no new donations, we finally got a call from a local warehouse to come pick up a load of cleaning supplies. Our shelves were getting low, and cleaning supplies leave our Warehouse fast for other ministries and missionaries.

Justin has been very busy doing other supply runs almost daily. It has been difficult to keep up with them all, and the need for Warehouse help has grown in prevalence. We would love to have more consistent help for Justin, Donny, & Lisa and are always looking for more volunteers! We offer forklift training & certification as well, which can transfer to future opportunities for people coming out of high school or adults looking to serve outside of church. Please pray & consider helping, or pass this opportunity along to someone who might be interested!

Automotive Shops

Did you know that vehicle donations are one of the best ways you can help support the ministry? We have had 8 people donate vehicles in the last 8 months. So far, those vehicles have gone to CMTS staff members families, people in need, or used for spare parts for other vehicles.

The Auto Shop has been steady over the summer, and preparations for the office move have been moving. The first step is to pave in front of the shop and make it more easily accessible for both office visitors and people dropping off their vehicles to be worked on.

We are still hoping for help for Nick. It would be a blessing to have another mechanic willing to work alongside him and also aid in teaching the Equip students while in the Auto Shop. If you know someone who is looking to get involved in volunteering somewhere, tell them to contact the Front Office and we can give them more information.

Don’t forget that you can get your vehicle worked on at the Auto Shop, too! Visit cmtsministries.com to schedule an appointment today.

Maintenance, Hospitality, & More

This summer has been busy for our maintenance team. Leam has divided his time between working on the offices above the shop, remodeling the gym and laundry room, and talking with the township to restore the relationship with them and CMTS.

Mike has scrapped thousands of pounds of metal from around the campus, garnering income that is much needed at the ministry. Ray is finally feeling back to his normal, joking self. After months of him battling high blood pressure, not knowing what could be done to fix it, and a surgery to help his breathing, he is now moving around and getting work done on his and Debbie’s RV. They plan to leave in April for SOWER (Servants On Wheels Ever Ready) Ministry, an RV ministry providing volunteer help to other Christian ministries across the US and Canada.

A group from Grace Community Church in Allentown spent the week before the Fun Fest prepping the Open House Field and setting up tents and games with us. They were a huge help and encouragement for the staff, especially during the hot week of setting up.

CMTS Fun Fest Fundraiser

The Fun Fest was as it’s name says: fun! We raised close to $15,000 towards the Auto Shop! The morning of the Fun Fest, it started raining and we were all praying for sun; towards the middle of the day we saw it turn beautiful and praised God.

There isn’t a sure way to know how many people came out to visit and play games, but we do know that we had over 80 volunteers, and more than 60 of them were non-staff members! What an encouraging thing to see so many people willing to set aside a Saturday in the middle of summer to serve with us. We feel so blessed and want to thank everyone who came out and especially the volunteers for making the Fun Fest so wonderful!

While we didn’t meet our goal of $25,000, we are confident that God is going to continue to provide for our needs in the Auto Shop. He moves in mysterious ways and we trust that He is moving!

Mission Opportunities

Volunteer with Us

Every ministry has need of two things: finances and people. We want to encourage you to give your time if you are unable to give money! The Warehouse could use someone to help pickup donations, the Auto Shop needs another mechanic, Equip needs teachers; almost every area has a need. Are you willing to help meet that need? Send us an email below!
