May 2024 at CMTS Ministries

“In God, whose word I praise… What can man do to me?” Psalm 56: 10a, 11b

Equip Updates

May is the last month for the Equip program; each year it will grow more difficult to say goodbye. Aidan, Caleb, Donny, and Logan became an integral part of the ministry for their 10 months here, and while we have been preparing theme for their next steps all year, we are still sad to see them leave. Aidan and Caleb will both be back in July, Logan will be investing in his home church and pursuing ministry there while taking further education in online coding, and Donny will be serving at a camp in New York and then doing DTS in Monterrey, Mexico. Each of them has a lot to do with raising funds and preparing for after summer. If you want to financially support Aidan, Caleb, and/or Donny, contact the office or visit the website for online donations.

We are still accepting students for next Equip year, so please spread the word! If you know someone who is graduating, direct them to the Equip page on the CMTS Ministries website! We would love to answer any questions.

At the Ministry in Bernville, PA

Automotive Shops

Nick VanWert, Doug Sylva, and Sam Adams prepped and repaired vans for Righteous Rides this month, getting 5+ missionary families on the road. The process for Righteous Rides is very similar to how we used to run our Loaner Vehicle program. Nick looks the van over, ensures it is mechanically sound, and then passes it on to Doug who details and fixes dents, dings, etc.. Each missionary family that picks up a van receives a goody bag per child. We also invite them to stay for lunch and share about their ministry before taking the van. One missionary picking up for his family later sent us an email. “Thanks so much for a wonderful van pickup the other day, and for the delicious pizza as well! I wanted to share a picture of our kids with their gift bags. A nice touch on your part—they were so excited, and we were touched by your kindness. May the Lord bless you and keep you.”

The Warehouse

This month, we were very blessed with multiple donations in the Warehouse, incoming and outgoing. We donated 10 pallets within just 2 weeks. Justin Darnell, John Debkowski, and our volunteers have been getting all of the donations sorted and prepared for shipments or ministry donations. In a past newsletter, we mentioned receiving a large donation of Gatorade. This has been taking up a section of the Warehouse set aside specifically for One Luv, a ministry in Reading. We have seen Tony & Emily reach the lost over and over in the past 6 months alone. We would love to make an even wider impact, so if you know of a ministry that can benefit from the Warehouse ministry, please contact us!

Maintenance & Hospitality

This July, a group of 20 will be heading to Dryden, Ontario to serve at a YWAM base. The people at YWAM Sunset Country will be starting a program for young adults who will receive biblical training and vocational training. Sound familiar? As we share the same vision, we want to serve them by helping to build housing. If you are interested in supporting this trip and funding the efforts we will be making, please consider making a donation that will help not only our ministry but theirs as well.

Things with the township are slow going, but blessedly not going backward. Leam Nicholaides has made many efforts to get different projects off the ground, such as the apartments above the automotive shop and the Training Center building project. Currently, these are the projects at the forefront of our priorities. Apartments above the shop will allow us to have more room for staff. More staff means more help with fulfilling our ministry calling to support other ministries. Please pray for us!

This summer is looking busy for the hospitality department. We are excited to have 4 work groups planning to serve with us! Work Groups are a huge encouragement to the ministry, and help us get things done that sometimes get pushed to the backburner.

CMTS Belize & the Merricks

Andy Merrick came to the States for doctor visits and to help Nancy with her recovery. In a recent update, Nancy had this to share: “Please, continue to cover us with prayer. I can testify that I have felt the prayers of many as I have gone through this journey. Cindy commented to me on our way here, how amazingly well my recovery was. We both believe it is a testimony to the power of prayer.”
