Hello everyone,

I hope you are doing well. I’m David McDermott and I would like to share what God has been doing in my life at CMTS as an Equip Student.

Mission Work/Vocation Work

This is my last week here in Equip and my last week working with Ray. It’s been fun and I learned a lot of tips and tricks that can help in the Future. We haven’t done anything super big projects but it was still fun and I learned a lot. Some of the things I learned were how to put up and take down siding, installing baseboard trim, and how to operate various equipment like chop saws, table saws,and more. We also had 2 work groups recently and we were able to get a lot done.

Kentucky

We had a lot of fun down in Kentucky and we got a lot of work done. We managed to take down a collapsed roof in half a day which is awesome because we thought it would take an entire day. The majority of us worked on one house by cleaning it out and demoing the majority of it. Most of what we demoed was removing most of the drywall, the ceiling, the flooring, the entire floor in another room, and the interior doors. The rest went to another house to paint the inside and some of the outside. 

We also spent a lot of time together as well playing games. Most of the time we played corn hole and Grace and I won the last game before we left. We also played uno with each other and we got to play with the two sons of the person whose house we were demoing which was also fun. I also got to talk to a lady there who was really encouraging and she told me her testimony which really got me thinking about God. Throughout the whole work week God was showing me how he molds us into his image if we let him and how he is the one we should always seek after and go to for all our needs and direction.

May Personal life

• I’m now starting to see how God works and the way he answers
  • He’s showing me how to be more Christ like
  • Growing me in maturity in Christ
  • He’s been providing for my needs for after equip
  • Allowing me go through tough trials and tests to grow me
  • Showing me how to be faithful to him and have hope even when it seems like there is none
  • Growing in my relationship with him
• I’ve started to pack my possessions for when I have to move later in June
• I’m looking for jobs to do until I go to college next year Lord willing 

Prayer Requests

• That I would be able to get a job/housing
• My parents moving to Mexico
• My cousin flying back to Mexico June 5th
• My Dad would be healed of his health problems
• That I would be able to go to college

Answered requests

• I’ve found a few jobs and applying for them
