A New Season of Ministry

It’s been a while, but I’m back! For those who may not know, I have recently accepted a full-time position here at Christian Missionary Technical Services (CMTS). It has now been a month since I officially joined the team, and I wanted to take some time to share with you how things have been going and what God has been doing over the past few months.

Back to CMTS

To give you a quick overview of the months leading up to my joining CMTS, I started a new position at a local warehouse in May. About a month into that job, however, I began to feel that God was leading me back to CMTS and calling me to serve as a full-time missionary.

In mid-July, I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico with several people from CMTS. This trip became an important part of the journey God was leading me through and helped prepare my heart for the season of ministry ahead.

Mexico

My time in Mexico was once again a fantastic experience, filled with both fun and deeply impactful moments. During the trip, I was prayed over and received words of encouragement and prophecy. I also had the opportunity to pray for many people and encourage families who were facing difficult circumstances.

Looking back on the trip, I am especially thankful for the opportunity to see God’s love displayed through His people. It reminded me of His love for us and for all of His creation. I was also blessed with opportunities to build lifelong friendships with other believers who are faithfully serving God and living on mission.

Preparing for Ministry

One of the most challenging parts of returning home from Mexico was realizing that I had only a few weeks before beginning full-time ministry. I gave my two-week notice at work and immediately began preparing to raise the financial support I would need.

After returning from Mexico, I had only three weeks before my start date at CMTS. During that time, I worked quickly to put together a cohesive support letter and began reaching out to people individually to share what I would be doing and how they could partner with me.

I also had the opportunity to meet with my pastor, who interviewed me as a candidate for our church’s missions committee. Through each of these steps, I have continued to see God faithfully provide and guide me into this new season.

At CMTS

On August 17, I officially began my position as a Creative Media & Communications Assistant and Warehouse Assistant at CMTS.

This first month has been filled with learning, growing, and becoming familiar with the different responsibilities of my position. I have been learning new skills, working on smaller projects, becoming familiar with the equipment I will be using, and helping with various tasks around the mission.

Although much of this first month has involved learning and preparation, I am excited about the opportunities ahead and the ways God can use these skills to serve CMTS, missionaries, ministry partners, and others.

Getting Started

Over the past two weeks, I have also had the opportunity to begin putting some of my creative-media responsibilities into practice. I recently published two short-form videos highlighting some of the things happening around the mission.

These projects have given me an opportunity to begin learning how to communicate what God is doing through CMTS and to share that work with others through social media and other forms of media.

I am excited to continue developing these skills and using creativity and communication to encourage others, highlight missions, and ultimately help advance God’s Kingdom.

Prayer & Praise

As I begin this new season of ministry, I would greatly appreciate your prayers. Please pray that I would continue to grow in my relationship with Christ and faithfully follow where He leads me. Pray for wisdom as I learn my new responsibilities and develop the skills needed for my role at CMTS.

Please also pray for the people I will have the opportunity to serve and interact with through this ministry. Pray that God would use my work in creative media, communications, and the warehouse to encourage missionaries, ministry partners, volunteers, and everyone who comes through CMTS.

Pray for me and my girlfriend and that God would continue to guide both of us individually and together, giving us wisdom, patience, and discernment as we seek His will for our future and our relationship.

Finally, please pray for the financial support needed for me to continue serving with CMTS full-time. I am trusting God to provide and I am thankful for every person who has already prayed for me, encouraged me, or partnered with me financially. I am excited to see how God will continue to work through this new chapter and where He will lead next.
