October 2020
Luke 4:18-19 (ESV) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor.”
October has been an amazing month here at CMTS. John Gibb from Massachusetts, took about 5 days out of his schedule to assemble and then deliver an electric forklift designed to loan and unload semi-trailers. This will be an invaluable tool in the warehouse to help us load supplies for those who are in need and the oppressed. God blessed us with the opportunity to give out about 17 pallets of school supplies, medical supplies, cleaning supplies, and suitcases. These items are bound for local ministries in PA, as well as an awesome mission in Uganda which focuses on medical needs and schooling needs.
Most people know that one of our main ministries is a car loaner program for missionaries on furlough. But most people don’t know what goes into this incredible ministry. Because of the global shutdown and whatnot, our car loaner program has been slower than the typical year. We have been able to provide 39 vehicles to Pastors, missionaries, and full-time Christian works since the month of April. We also sold quite a few cars at a discounted rate to accommodate missionaries and others that could not return to their mission fields due to Covid. All of the vehicles that are donated to CMTS go to our automotive shop to be evaluated. From there our mechanics Nic VanWert and Ray Pete work on vehicles throughout the week, making sure these vehicles are safe and reliable. We currently have around 50 fleet vehicles, 10 support vehicles, 3 15 passenger vans, and 2 buses in our fleet.
Thank you for your prayers and support of the ministry. Your donations are used to reach the less fortunate, through educational resources, job training materials, basic needs, and supporting the full-time staff members who use their God-given talents to serve Him.
