Pete’s Post | October 2024

Ephesians 1:11-12 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

Ray did take me to Maine so I could be with Jasmine for her surgery and recovery. It was an almost one pound growth, but it was not cancer. Praise Jesus! He came back to PA after the surgery and I stayed to tend dogs while they were in hospital, be chauffeur and cook. It was wonderful spending all that time with family and connecting with friends and supporters.

I got to enjoy the foliage for the first time in six years. I’m sure everyone got tired of me saying “Look at that”.

I got to attend the ladies breakfast, ladies conference and business meeting in our sending church as well as a Gaither concert, Muffins and Missionaries, and Bible study with Misti at her church.

We played games almost everyday and made crafts for OCC. It is quickly approaching time to pack those shoeboxes/gospel opportunities, so pray for the boxes and that the hearts of the children who receive them will be open to the gospel and put their trust in Christ.

Keep Misti and family in your prayers as it is a hard adjustment to have four of your children suddenly gone. Pray for the children still there that they will be secure in the love of each other as well as God and not live in fear.

Believe it or not Ray said he got tired of burgers while I was gone. I was glad he did come back to get me once Jasmine was cleared to drive. Home is where he is for sure…wherever that might be.

Our plan, unless God says something else, is that when Ray turns 67 (1 ½ years) we will live in a bus and serve wherever God leads. There are three ministries that we are looking into besides Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child.

1. CWCF Construction Workers Christian Fellowship
2. RVICS Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service
3. SOWERS Servants on Wheels

If you have any experience with any of them, we would love your input.

Please pray for wisdom about that as well as for Ray as he works to convert a bus to a camper.

In the meantime, pray that we will faithfully serve Him in whatever He asks.

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.

We are grateful for your continued prayers and support as we seek to serve Him.

Debbie and Ray Pete
