Mission Work

April was a blast! The Mission Trip to Mexico with the Equip students was a highlight! The students got to hand out Bibles, pray with people, see a new culture, and be really, really stretched. They went to towns and played soccer with kids, did children’s ministry programs with wordless bracelets, cut hair, and helped reorganize donations for a ministry that works with migrants.

At the end of April, Righteous Rides, our new partner car ministry, had an all-hubs Summit in St. Louis, Missouri. We went there and expected to be driving 2 vans back to our hub location, and surprise! We had 3! LOL So, we each drove one 14 hours straight through. It was an awesome trip. Getting to meet all the other hubs across the nation too. So cool.

The septic was also started and it is a great feeling seeing the progress being made.

We’re gearing up for our last mission trip with our Equip students. We’re headed to Mayfield, Kentucky, to help a local pastor and church with disaster relief. Our entire family, minus Devin who has to work, gets to go along on this trip! I am so excited!

Home Life

Jase turned 8 on April Fool’s Day! He asked for a peanut butter cake with peanut butter icing. He seems to like peanut butter a little LOL Joel and Kylie were in Mexico during his birthday, so he celebrated with part of his family on his actual birthday, then his entire family on the 5th. The group was so sweet and did a FaceTime call with him and they all wished him a Happy Birthday. He wanted to go eat lunch at Sheetz with his siblings to celebrate until we could all be back together.

We did our bi-annual clothes trips. I love these trips. Because I take 1 child or 2 at a time, we get more one on one time. Peyton got to go alone with me, and it was really nice. He was not thrilled being in public with his mom! HA HA HA HA HA I don’t mind!

While Joel and Kylie got to eat amazing Mexican food, I took the other 6 out for Mexican too… well, they got some American food as well. Jase was really stringing out his mozzarella sticks!

Took all 3 of my girls out to try boba tea. I really love our dates! Kylie & Parker did NOT like it! LOL

Homeschool Corner

At co-op they made Lasagna, it was so good! Peyton is in a critical thinking class and has been doing pretty awesome.

School work this month has started to wind down during the last week of April. As they all complete the school work needed, they get to focus on the ones they need to get caught up on or are just done if they worked ahead. Kylie got the awesome opportunity to travel and experience a new country, culture, language, and of course food!!

I love this time of year, finishing up the current year and preparing for the new one! All books are bought for next year and the curriculum is planned out, now is the time to make their daily to-do lists and get the daily tasks and worksheets in order. That is what I will be doing this summer.

The task now is doing their portfolios. We see our evaluator at the beginning of June, so as the kids finish up their work, I get to fill in their portfolios. YAY!

Retirement: We are saving up to retire one day and being a good steward with our time in the future.

Misc.: Savings for emergencies and medical expenses like braces and casts. Education and field trips. Fun days with the kids as a family out, date nights with Joel & I (Danielle), and saving each month for vacations.

Transportation: gas, car insurance, maintenance, and repairs.

Living expenses: electricity, propane, internet, cell phones, clothing, food, and household items.

We got a one time gift this month! Thank you for all the prayers, God has been so faithful.

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
