Mission Work

Christ Link started up again! We are always honored to host them here! A bug bonus is that our Equip students get to serve with them and Kylie has joined them this year as well. She asked to be a part of it, as she is interested in this for a career. Plus she gets to serve while learning! Win-win!

We have 2 students from last year back with us for another 10 months: Aidan & Caleb are back for E2! It is another 10 months of learning leadership skills as well as always being discipled and challenged to grow in their walk with Christ. Our new Equip students moved in a week after Caleb and Aidan, and all 4 are doing great. Sam’s family lives 45 minutes from our campus while Isaac is from British Columbia, Canada! We’re excited to see what God does!

A workgroup from Millville, NJ, was here for an entire week! This inner city youth group was stretched in a lot of ways this week, but they also got to experience so much. It was a blast and they’re already talking about coming next year!

This summer there have been more workgroups than I have seen in quite a while. It has been wonderful to see the ministry bustling with people, worship, and service. We have gotten to meet and serve alongside so many different groups. It really has been a blessing and encouragement to us!

Home Life

Jase & Kylie got baptized! Woo hoo!! I love when they decide to do this. Jase was so confident and brave, he spurred Kylie on to do it as well. His example, and Kylie asking me to stand up front with her, helped her be brave to do this as well! Soooooo proud of them! Kylie got her braces on in the last few days of August. She was not thrilled, but they had really cool glasses to wear while you got them on!

Ace started a full time job at Farmer Boy Ag in Myerstown, PA. This was Devin & Peyton visiting him at Arby’s on one of his last days

We had our Girls’ Weekend! We went camping at a local campground that has a swirly pool slide and then to a rodeo for FREE! It was great getting some girl bonding time and seeing some bucking bulls.

Ace went to his last summer of horse camp this month. Bittersweet, he loves going and has started to help volunteer, but he cannot go back as a camper. He had a blast and made some great memories.

Homeschool Corner

Ace: 12th grade and graduating in December. He only needed 2 more credits to graduate!

Peyton: 10th grade

Kylie: 9th grade

Jett: 7th grade

Parker: 6th grade

Jase: 4th grade

We had to make a temporary desk for Jase with our old laptop since 5 of them now need computers to do most of their school work. Jett and Parker were making pizza dough together. Peyton is doing chemistry this year and he was seeing the chemical changes in a purple cabbage leaf when you break it down with water, vinegar, and lye. It was neat to see it change all these colors. Parker is learning about the human anatomy this year and made an edible cell.

Upcoming Mission Trips

Texas, USA
November 14-18, 2024, Joel and I will be headed to southern Texas, again! Yes, again! WooHoo! While we were in Texas this past June we were praying to meet up with people that God wanted us to talk to and meet and make relationships with. While down there we met up with a local pastor in McAllen, TX and a leader from the congregation and they had researched us A LOT! We have formed a really good relationship with them and they want us to come back down to share about the ministry in his church and on his local radio show. The purpose of this visit is to share what we do, make more connections with this border city, and the possibility of getting supplies across the border. As well as the potential of another base nearby to set up a warehouse to prepare shipments to go across the border AND reach a whole other area with the impact of what God has done through CMTS Bernville. We are walking PRAYERFULLY and so intentionally seeking HIS guidance with this, we do not want to go where God has not prepared the way, we are praying for doors to be opened and God to make this possible if this is HIS will.

Mayreau, St. Vincent
December 8-14, 2024 We are taking a team of skilled and unskilled people to Mayreau. We will be helping to rebuild the base, community houses, and anything else that God leads us to. We will also be praying with the community and doing kids’ ministry. Joel and Peyton will the parts of the Smith Clan that will be going.
Please pray for each team as we prepare now for each trip and our family! Praise God for for these opportunities!!

Family Needs

Support

We are very grateful for the team of supporters we have. Thank you! We are currently at $2,500 monthly and where we need to be is $3,570. This covers what we need to live each month as this is our only income. It has been by the grace and provision of God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others is much appreciated!

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
