Mission Work

Ephesians 4:12-13 “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

I want to introduce to you the “Equip Program” here at CMTS. There is an epidemic among young people. Only 1 in 3 students the ages 18-25 attend church regularly. Because of this Danielle and I felt God’s calling to train spiritually and vocationally, young students ages 18-25 here at CMTS. The Equip Program is for students that are looking to grow closer to Christ as they may not know where God wants them to go yet. We will be housing up to 4 students (first year all men) in 2022-2023 for 11 months. Do you know someone who may be a great fit? Please let us know!

Things have been going well in Belize this past month. A bus was sold to a local ministry that will be transporting people in it to advance God’s Kingdom. Another ministry was also able to use one of our vans to transport students to a youth program. Ron Johnson and his wife Cindy were down for 2 weeks assisting in the repair of the main kitchen cabinets among other items that needed repair. They continue to prepare the location to be an international training center.

We have also improved our donation link on the website. You can now easily set up a one-time donation or a recurring payment with your debit/credit card or your bank account. You can easily choose where you want those funds applied and it will automatically send you a receipt and a year-end statement. If you would like to send your support using that method just go to our website and click the donate button.

Our fleet vehicles have been driven over 10.6 million miles. Thank you for helping to make that happen!

Home Life

We celebrated two birthdays this month! Our oldest, Devin, turned 18 and Ace turned 15.

We had dentist appointments this month and we’re proud to announce no cavities! Kylie will need braces. She has a consult appointment in April. Poor Kylie also needs to get special inserts in her shoes for her high arches. Poor thing. We went to a podiatrist for her curved toes. We ended up having to go see an orthopedic doctor to get molds made of her feet to get specialty inserts. They will be in next month.

Ace was able to go on a youth group retreat. Our church family is so great. I love that my kids cannot wait to go on these trips.

Five of the Smith crew were serving at our CMTS Banquet. They rocked it. They definitely stepped out of their comfort zones and were serving water, salad, cleaning bathrooms, helping to set up, grocery shop, and clean up. They were shining the light of Jesus that night.

Homeschool Corner

We had a valentine’s party at the beginning of the month and then made soft pretzels at the end of the month in our local homeschool co-op.

Ace is growing radishes on our window sill and just started getting into dissection in his biology curriculum. He is about to dissect a worm later this week.

Peyton is doing General Science this year and he has been working on an intro in chemistry. He has a leaf in rubbing alcohol in his bedroom as we speak! We will find out what happens to the leaf and its chemical components later this week.

Kylie is up to 88 books read as of February 23rd. She has such a love of learning and has been asking for more work to do. At this rate, she will be surpassing Peyton in all subjects soon.

Jett has been making his own colored paper by blending construction paper into a pulp and then using a screen to give it new shades and hues of colors. He has been reading every Star Wars he can find.

Parker made a rocket in her science curriculum, Astronomy. We first tried baking soda and vinegar. It squirted everyone but did not shoot up.

Jase is almost fully through his reading curriculum and about to move onto independent books.

Prayer Requests & Support

We are currently at $775 monthly and where we need to be is $3,570. It has been by the grace and provision by God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others are much appreciated! Answered Prayer! We have gained another monthly supporter! Thank you for your prayers!

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
