Mission Work
This month was a lot of background work for the fundraiser! We were testing out drinks we haven’t made before, building baskets from items that were donated, and planning and organizing sequence of events and logistics!
We had an impromptu breakfast as a community one morning to fellowship together. The students really wanted to spoil us and made us an AMAZING breakfast. These students really are amazing. We are so blessed by the students God has sent us!
One of the things I (Joel) love most about my job is I don’t always know what to expect. I did not plan to be in Mayreau 4 times in 12 months. After visiting ministry friends in Feb 2024 with Parker we got to know the people there and fell in love with the community. In July 2024 they were directly hit by a category 5 hurricane. This caused total devastation. CMTS and our friends immediately starting working on a plan to provide for the needs of the island. I was able to go down with the ministry leader, Ben (our friend) and begin to work through what we saw there. Over the next 6 months containers were filled and sent down. Household items, cleaning supplies, clothing, chairs, school desks and so much more were sent there. Praise God for His generous donations!
Normally they will head home on a ferry, but Jenny and I got to go home by speed boat to the neighbor island and since the airport was rebuilt enough, we got to take a small passenger plane to St. Vincent to catch the commercial flight. The whole team did not do this as it was more expensive to get home this way, they just stayed a few more days to continue to help out.
Getting to see the stages of before the hurricane and the rebuild after has been amazing to see. It reminded me of the redemption of our Lord.
Hurricane Beryl directly hit Mayreau on July 1st 2024. Almost every home was destroyed. This also included most of the business properties as well. Joel went down days after the storm with 4 others to help assess the damage and tarp up roofs and share hope on the island. CMTS took a team down to help continue the cleanup and begin rebuilding around the island. You could see hope returning to the eyes of the people there. Praise God that there was no loss of life during the storm.
CMTS took our Equip students down to continue to rebuild homes and ministry buildings
Home Life
We celebrated 2 birthdays this month! Ace turned 18 and Devin turned 21!
Ace wanted to go out to Red Robin for his 18th birthday and Devin wanted to do something with just Cam this year.
We got to embarrass him a little and had the Red Robin servers sing Happy Birthday to him! He was ok with it though and got free ice cream.
Valentine’s Family Movie Night was homemade heart shaped pizza and chocolate covered strawberries! Parker loves making them with me, Danielle, so it was also great to spend time with her doing this!
Homeschool Corner
Kylie has gotten into the heavy dissecting part of her biology course this month! She dissected a cray fish and an earthworm. She really does not like it, but she only has 2 more dissections to go!
Jett got to build a 3D model of DNA out of candy and toothpicks. They all seem to like this project because I let them eat the candy afterwards! LOL
Jett also built a sundial.
General Science is fun, it goes over a lot of subjects quickly within the science spectrum.
Upcoming Mission Trips
Georgia, USA
We are sad to inform you all that this trip had to be canceled. The ministry that was preparing for us to come down is no longer ready and God worked this in our favor as we did not have as much response for this trip as last time! So, unfortunately, this trip may be postponed or another group may be able to fill in and complete the work and we may not need to go again. We will pray and see how God guides us! Thanks so much for understanding and being there with us!
Monterrey, Mexico
July 5-12, 2025 We are taking a team of skilled and unskilled people to Mexico. We will be helping to build onto a men’s rehab facility, evangelize, encourage the ministries we work alongside, and anything else that God leads us too. We will also be praying with the community and doing kids’ ministry. *This has changed as we felt God pushing us in this direction. Both are very big needs, but we felt this was a bigger push as to what we should be doing for this trip. We have worked with Pastor Adrian for many years now and love seeing these guys come to Jesus and be set free from their bondage of sin. So, so, so neat!

Family Needs
Support
We are very grateful for the team of supporters we have. Thank you! We are currently at $2,500 monthly and where we need to be is $3,570. This covers what we need to live each month as this is our only income. It has been by the grace and provision of God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others is much appreciated!
Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
