Mission Work

July. Wow, a lot of great things happened in July!

We got our 4th Equip student in, the septic is completed, and we have finalized dates for a roofing crew from Mexico to come to redo the roof of our main house! We also had a building donated; we talked to our engineer about replacing the top half of our training center building with this donated building! We are still working on the logistics of getting it here, but so far it looks like we have a moving company helping us and donating their time and tools. God is so good! We have been praying for all of these things for so long. The training center was a focus point until the septic needed our attention and needed to be replaced and made larger. God is helping us to focus on that building again and in a budget-friendly and well-done way. The building needs to be moved by the end of August, so after we get it wrapped and placed on our property, we will start talking with our engineer and the township to move forward.

The warehouse is helping 2-5 local ministries a week and it looks like we MIGHT be able to finally ship a container to Haiti in the very near future. We have not been able to ship to Haiti for quite some time now due to gang presence at the port we ship to; they have taken control and seize everything coming in. Well, we got a call from Mark Bradley, who helps facilitate getting resources to a ministry in Haiti. We may be able to get the container there!

We were able to get an empty bus through the port in June and it made it to a ministry in one piece! We are praying the container for Mark Bradley will be guided with the same supernatural protection.

The Auto Shop has been fixing 3-4 cars a week for local pastors, ministry leaders, and our partner Righteous Rides. Nick had to do an entire engine rebuild. We are very blessed to have him here, and the van is running beautifully!

Home Life

On the 4th of July before a picnic at the grandparent’s house, we went for a short hike. The kids were climbing the rocks underneath a bridge.

This month Joel and the boys got to hang out at home and the girls got to go out for a weekend. We went to a small town within walking distance to an ice cream shop and a park and had an awesome girls-only weekend.

We went lazy river tubing for family day! My tube popped on a branch and I had to plug the hole with my finger for the rest of the float! It was raining while we drove there and made the river higher and a little faster. It was my favorite trip so far!

Homeschool Corner

The kids are enjoying summer vacation. Hannah and I have been making copies of school papers. Hannah helped me so much with getting the new school year papers ready, I was pretty far behind. I was able to focus on the rest of the lesson planning while she helped me with that part. Everything is also getting organized to start the school year in the middle of August! Woohoo!

Science experiments and organizing their school space is the next thing to tackle. I’ve been getting a lot of the supplies ready. Had to order quite a few dissecting specimens! LOL

And back to school shopping! Did you know Amazon sells, like, 1,000 pencils pre-sharpened? One of my favorite school supply buys! In our house, pencils are like that one sock in the dryer, no one knows where they all go!!! LOL So, we do buy that box of pencils every year.

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
