Mission Work

Grace Church from Allentown came for a week and helped us to set up for the fundraiser! We would not have been able to do this fundraiser without them!

We have been renovating quite a few areas of the ministry lately, here is a sneak peek at a few projects!

I don’t have pictures of this part, but the maintenance team has been working hard at fixing drainage, clearing scrap metal, and mowing overgrown areas!

It has been a great summer so far to see so much progress and new open grass patches.

We held a fundraiser this month, our FUN FEST! It was a carnival type day and we had so much fun with all the games. All the proceeds made went towards the mechanic shop and fixing up the building.

It was raining a little in the beginning, but thankfully, towards the end it was sunny!

We made $15,000 with this fundraiser and we were able to pay to pave the front of the mechanic shop!

July 5-12 We went down to Monterrey, Mexico to help Adrian and his ministry, Compassion, to build onto the offices of his men’s rehab. They need more space and are moving the offices to accommodate more men. A really special part was that Joel got to go down with Jett and have a father/son mission trip. Those are always pretty special.

I, Joel, took a team down to Monterrey with the primary mission of helping Compassion Ministry finish an addition on their offices at their Drug & Alcohol Christian Men’s rehab center. A team of 5 people (including Jett and myself) met 2 others from Baja California (Alfredo & Karli Robles) in Monterrey. More of our friends also joined us on the project each day. It was so encouraging seeing the men and also getting to work together with our friends in Mexico. We had the opportunity to preach the Gospel, pray for so many people, help the rehab, hand out food and Bibles and so much more. For the first time in a while during an international trip I got really sick and had to go to the clinic. After an IV and some medicine I was slowly back in action. It wasn’t just me who got sick; Alfredo was also pretty bad and he had to go to the clinic as well. Praise God for our healing!

Every time we go to Monterrey we see our team going towards people and sharing the love of Christ. Over the past 5 years we have seen the Men’s Rehab grow and reach more men each year. They are truly making a difference in these men’s lives that will have a ripple effect for generations. Thank you for your support of what we do so we can take groups down to serve another culture and make life-long impacts on our team’s lives and the people we serve.

We also did some soccer ministry and the pennies(sport shirts) were too short! LOL

Home Life

Parker had a birthday this month! She turned 12!

Good News Day Camp happened this month! Kylie & Jett were volunteers and Parker & Jase got to participate! This was the first year that we had our children volunteer, and Kylie & Jett did so good! Parker is looking forward to serving with CEF’s camp next summer!

I did not get many pictures, these were as I was picking them up and they were playing on the playground equipment until I got them. LOL

Homeschool Corner

While there may not be any school papers being completed by the kids, I am knee high in textbooks and papers! LOL

This is my month, after the fundraiser this year, to get all the things together for the coming up year and clean up any clutter remaining from the previous year.

I’m excited to see how this year goes!

  • Support: We are still not fully supported and are actively raising support.

  • Guidance, wisdom, and discernment as God leads us as we lead the ministry.

Ministry Prayer Requests

  • Mission Trips: Prayer for getting connected with people to match needs for teams
  • Shipping: We have many shipping containers going out soon full of supplies to help ministries share the gospel around the world!
  • Staff: We are in need of another front office staff member and another mechanic to meet our growing needs in those areas.

Family Needs

Support

We are very grateful for the team of supporters we have. Thank you! We are currently at $2,200 monthly and where we need to be is $4,000. This covers what we need to live each month as this is our only income. It has been by the grace and provision of God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others is much appreciated!

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
