Mission Work
This month Joel went on a trip to St. Croix, following a prompting from Christ to see how we can make connections to new ministries, fill any needs, and possibly restart short term mission trips through CMTS. He was able to speak with Pastors and missionaries and offer encouragement.
At one of the evening events he met a man named Bill who works with CEF in New York. He works with the Caribbean areas, helping to spread the Word. We hope to soon begin shipping supplies to the ministries on the island and beyond. The warehouse has been very active this past month and God has answered the prayer to connect more people with needs to the ministry here. Praise God for that!
The septic is still on hold for the moment; we are still waiting on sand and it doesn’t look like the digging will be able to happen until the ground thaws in spring. However, we have been working on other renovations around campus this past month. We are closer to getting our permit for the training center, so we can potentially use that for next year’s students. Praise God!!
Please keep both of these projects in your prayers. We have completely raised the funds for the septic, but we are still raising funds for the training center. Thank you all for the support and prayers for these projects and this ministry, we feel them!
Home Life
This month was a lot of just hanging out together. We went hiking to look at the changing leaves, took the kids to a local Autumn Festival where they got to do sand art, and we got to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Chick-fil-a!
Ace went to St.Croix with Joel, so they got some great bonding time. They even went snorkeling!
Joel and I got the chance to get away for the weekend. The kids stayed with their grandmother and went to a corn maze and mini golfing, while we went to a small house in the mountains to decompress and relax.
Homeschool Corner
October slows down a lot of field trips and extra events as it gets colder. This month and the coming months are for intensive learning. By that I mean worksheets and CD-Roms, LOL. They still get to do their science and art projects too, but it can be mundane somedays.
In co-op Parker, Jett, and Kylie are still sewing their quilts. I am also learning how to use a sewing machine. The 1st co-op of the month they learned karate basics. They got to learn form and some moves, but then they got to split a board with their hand and then their foot. It was so neat!
Prayer Requests
- Support, we are still not fully supported and are actively raising support.
- Housing, CMTS is looking into building more housing and one will be for us. We are living in a small apartment above the office currently. With 8 people, it can get a little tight! LOL
- Homeschool, that is an ever going prayer
- Guidance, wisdom, and discernment as God leads us as we lead the ministry.
Family Needs
Support
We are currently at $1,050 monthly and where we need to be is $3,570. It has been by the grace and provision by God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others is much appreciated!
Here is further breakdown in each category:
Retirement: We are saving up to retire one day and being a good steward with our time in the future.
Misc.: Savings for emergencies and medical expenses like braces and casts. Education and field trips. Fun days with the kids as a family out, date nights with Joel & I (Danielle), and saving each month for vacations.
Transportation: gas, car insurance, maintenance, and repairs.
Living expenses: electricity, propane, internet, cell phones, clothing, food, and household items.
We were blessed with one-time gifts again. You all are amazing! Thank you so much!
Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
