Smith Family Newsletter | February 2024

Mission Work

February has been full, most months feel very full, but it’s always a good full!

We had our annual “get to know us” Banquet, where we invite new churches to get to know us and others who just like the food and updates! We love having so many people who want to see what God is doing through all of us at CMTS. Aidan, one of our Equip students gave his opinion on the Equip program and how it has changed his life. I love seeing the students grow and ask questions and step out in faith. Our staff and our families are growing right alongside them. It really is beautiful.

Equip classes just keep going, they are on their last rotations of vocational classes and their Bible/spiritual classes are getting into the last teachers. They really are amazing guys.

We also got to help One Luv in Reading, PA. It was their Valentine Event and we got to serve alongside the students as well as our family!

Home Life

Ace turned 17 this month and asked for his usual coconut/ube ice cream. Ube is a Thai purple sweet potato. I found ube flavoring online and made his ice cream, but it always turns our tongues purple!

Devin turned 20 this month, no longer a teen! She asked for pumpkin cheesecake and there are no arguments when it comes to cheesecake!

We had a wacky night at church for our elementary age kids. Jase dressed up as Dorito man! And Parker was away with Joel, so she dressed up the week before, all in tye dye!

I, Danielle, was a mash up of wacky!!! We had a fun night, but the mustache was difficult to talk in without getting hairs in my mouth though!!

Homeschool Corner

Wrapping up of some subjects is starting to happen! Peyton completed his World History Curriculum by doing a model of the Colosseum. Peyton and Kylie are doing some of their final experiments for science. And Jase is done with a lot of his school work now, minus math, he really does not like math so he stretches it out. LOL He will get ther

Prayer Requests

  • Support: We are still not fully supported and are actively raising support.
  • Homeschool: that is an ever going prayer
  • Guidance, wisdom, and discernment as God leads us as we lead the ministry.
  • Our smaller family car had the engine blow a piston rod, we need a whole engine repair or replacement. Prayer for finding an engine that is low in miles and affordable and funds to pay for this repair.

Ministry Prayer Requests

  • Mission Trips: Prayer for getting connected with people to match needs for teams
  • Shipping: We have many shipping containers going out soon full of supplies to help ministries share the gospel around the world!
  • Staff: We are in need of another front office staff member and another mechanic to meet our growing needs in those areas.

Family Needs

Support

We are very grateful for the team of supporters we have. Thank you! We are currently at $2,500 monthly and where we need to be is $3,570. This covers what we need to live each month as this is our only income. It has been by the grace and provision of God that we are making it. We could really use your help. Prayers and awareness of this need to others is much appreciated!

Would you like to join our team? We need your help to continue to accomplish God’s vision for us at the ministry. Would you join us as a monthly supporter so we can continue the work God has started? We want to take you along for the journey and we would be honored to be able to share the experience with you. You would become part of the team and we would share how God is working and the impact it is having on His Kingdom. Please pray and ask God if you should join us.
