Stories with Sandra | February | Issue #5

And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clear, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:21 – 22

Ministry

Hello hello! It seems like it was a few days ago that I was sharing with you about January and now we are in March! It’s been going so fast!

At the beginning of February, we lost power for a couple of days right after the snowstorm. We were shut down and not able to work, so everyone pitched in to shovel and frolic in the snow. It was a really great time of fellowship!

One Luv continues to pick up clothing for their ministry in Reading! It’s all clothing that was sorted on January 13th! Speaking of clothing sorting….we are having another serve day on March 29th from 9 am – 3 pm. Once again we will be sorting clothes! This is a great opportunity to come and serve as a family, and it’s something even younger children can help with! You can find more information on our website if you are interested in signing up.

We had our banquet which was to raise awareness and share all that God has done during 2023! We had a really good time, and it was awesome seeing all the things that happened like the roof project, shipments to Haiti, and all the ministries that the Lord has helped us reach.

Up in the warehouse donations continue to come and go every week! We are blessed to receive donations from Dollar General every couple of weeks, and every time we pray for a donation Justin gets a call or text saying they have a few pallets to be picked up!

We are preparing for our trip to Mexico. It will be me, Jenny and Nolan Lapp, Justin Darnell, Joel, Danielle, and Ace Smith, and the EQUIP students going. As I keep praying about the trip, I get more and more excited! I’m excited about how God is going to use us, and how we are all going to grow. We are going to so many different places! On our schedules, we have 2 – 3 places where we will go minister to people every day. The trip’s main focus is evangelism, which is so exciting! We will visit the immigration center, a men’s rehab, hospitals, homeless people, churches, and other communities.

On February 1st a new staff member was added to our team! His name is Leam Nicholaides, and he will be working as our construction projects coordinator.

Personal

Me and Wyatt’s apartment is coming along well. Most of the drywall is on, and some is spackled, the plumbing is almost complete thanks to Leam and his brother Jason.

Wyatt and I are taking a break from serving on the youth staff to take a marriage class on Wednesday nights. We are so excited to be able to take this class together and so thankful for the opportunity! We will miss our students a lot, but even though we can’t be there on Wednesday nights we will continue to pray for them!

Isabella and Wyatt took me to an elevation concert for my Christmas present! We had such an awesome time! I’ve never been to a concert where it was just worship music and where I knew almost all the songs. It was so much fun, and so great getting to experience that with Isabella and Wyatt!

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.

Psalms 40:1-3

Praises

  • I want to praise God for the family I have, the family I’m marrying into, and the spiritual family we have in Him. To be called sons and daughters of the Most High and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17)!

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Mexico! What an awesome opportunity! Pray for funds, and join us by praying every day that we are there for strength, and the people we will be speaking to!
  • Pray that the Lord would keep bringing new ministries our way to help!

Thank you for your support and prayers! I’m so thankful to you all!
