Ministry
It’s been another great month at CMTS! At the beginning of October, we finished the roof! Just a couple more things need to be done, as well as the scaffolding taken down. We had our staff appreciation dinner on October 12th which was a lot of fun and good fellowship! Huge thanks to Meg and Matt Mehl who cooked all the food for the event!
Peyton Smith and I had the joy of cleaning out a freezer that was infested with black maggots. The best part was Peyton had to help because, of course, I can’t lift it by myself! And we just love making him help out around here! He looked so happy in the pictures too!!!
We are also preparing for a missions trip in December to Glenville, Georgia! It will be a week-long work trip where we are finishing the inside of a house for a retired missionary. The house will be used for young adult ministry. It will be the Smith family, the Equip students, Wyatt and I, and a few other people who have volunteered in previous projects. We are super excited and grateful for this opportunity!
Youth group is going great! We had our weekend retreat which was awesome! It was great to build even more of a relationship with our students, and for the students to get to know each other more! We learned about putting off the old man (lying, anger, etc.), putting on the new man (love, patience, etc.), and how to do that.
This month the prank from the students was to flip-flop our dining room….to which we still have not put back the way it was. Then I hid some of their things in plain sight and felt brilliant for it!
Personal
I got the opportunity to take an evangelism class with the Equip students! It was a week-long of 3 classes and 2 trips where we went out to evangelize. We had a few really awesome conversations with people and just got to love others in Jesus’ Name. This class really impacted me and helped me to learn what it means to share God’s love with other people in a practical way.
“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains.”
Colossians 4:2 -3
Every time we go to a public place we have the opportunity to share the love of Christ if we are willing to be obedient and talk to whoever it might be that the Lord wants us to talk to. It could just be a 3 minute conversation but that conversation is sowing seeds for eternity! And even if we are rejected harshly when we try to share Christ’s love….good!
“But everyone who denies Me here on earth, I will also deny before My Father in heaven.”
Matthew 10:33
And how many times does the Bible say “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.” Jesus knows we can’t do this on our own, which is why He gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us the strength we need! I could talk forever about this and what it has done in my life, but I will stop now. Haha!
Everything is going really well though! The wedding plans are coming along. Wyatt and I hope to start renovating our apartment very soon! I am just super thankful for the support of my family, and overwhelmed with the goodness of our God! And sometimes when He doesn’t feel good, that’s when we need to take a step back, be still and quiet, and reflect on all God has done and given us!

Would you join Sandra as a monthly supporter so she can continue the work God has started? She would be honored to be able to share the experience with you and make you part of the team. As she shares how God is working and the impact she is having on His Kingdom, please pray and ask God if you should partner with her a monthly donor/supporter.
