Howdy!
March went by super quick, but don’t worry there was still a lot of good stuff to write about like CMTS events, Easter, and more! This is our first joint newsletter so it may be a little hectic but Hannah is very good with making it readable so y’all will be fine.
Food Fest
March 13th was our 2nd annual Food Fest. Hannah was running the check-in counter and tickets, and I was running a table representing the teams we partner with in Mexico, as well as the upcoming mission trip, which I am going on! This was a great opportunity for fellowship as well as fundraising. It is always so good to hear from those we have worked with. Justin Darnell (warehouse manager, assistant to the director, my boss) touched on this point in his testimony, working in the warehouse and getting to see the things go from our hands into a truck, van, box truck, shipping container, or overly-packed sedan, the hands of people in need. Hearing testimonies of ministries sharing the gospel is one of the most amazing blessings we get to be a part of here.
Food Fest was a success in the community aspect, hearing testimony and being blessed with so many volunteers (including by brother, shoutout Dustin) but also financially successful. We were able to raise $13,503! This amount covers CMTS’ expenses for a month which keeps us blessing other ministries. Food Fest will be coming back in March of 2027! I have personal attachment to this event because March 7th, 2025, was the first of these events, and it was also my first day at CMTS, so these events give me perspective over the year.
Total City
We had two events over the last month, March 8th was a social event to raise awareness about the upcoming church. April 4th, we had an Egg Dash event. Both of these were really fun! The first event for us was a lot of getting to know the team and greeting people. The Egg Dash was so much fun to be a part of. Hannah was working with the team putting the eggs out and she was taking pictures with families and helping the kids exchange their eggs for prizes. She had a lot of fun and it was good to see her have fun at this event from my perspective as well!
I was on the parking team, which handled around 650+ people in an hour between one street and two small parking lots. All of it was handled well and with grace. I got to greet people as they came in and talk with some of the parking crew. Both of us feel like this event really started to cement us within this church and we are excited to move forward.
Easter
This Easter was really special for me. Total city, dinner with my parents Saturday night, lunch with Hannah’s family on Sunday, and some time with friends throughout. A lot of new beginnings and overall smooth sailing. Plus the weather was really beautiful on Saturday, all together it felt like the beginning of spring and summer. We also had Easter breakfast as a staff together on Thursday morning. I always enjoy the holiday meals we get to do together for extra community.
Prophetic Weekend
Ephrata Community Church, one of the churches Hannah and I have frequented over the last year or so, does a prophetic ministry weekend every year where they pray with you for God’s revelation in your life. We believe the Holy Spirit is still active and speaking to all of us, and we were both skeptical about the concept of a whole church doing prophecy over so many individual people. However, at the end of the night and over the next few days, I heard about God speaking into different peoples lives. All this to say, we believe that God sees every one of us, and wants to speak to every one of us.
What’s Next
I am super excited for all we are doing in April. First Mexico meeting is tonight (April 6th). Evangelism week starts tomorrow (April 7th). Friday, I am leaving for North Carolina to get the last of Nano’s things from her shed. April 18th, we are going to an event for This Little Light Ministries. April 23rd starts a long weekend for Danielle, Joel, Hannah, and myself going to Missouri for the Righteous Rides Hub Summit. Hannah and I will be putting out joint prayer cards soon. Plus there is always bound to be stuff popping up! Our next newsletter is gonna be full, and I am so pumped!
Praises & Prayers
- The Food Fest brought in funds & community
- Mexico meetings are starting which means we are getting close to going down
- Warehouse partnered with a huge food bank so we have more stuff to give out!
Please pray for:
- The team going down to Mexico, and for the people we will reach
- Finances for the ministry and for Hannah and I
- The North Carolina trip for safe travel and light work
You made it through the first of many newsletters from us! We wouldn’t be able to serve here if it wasn’t for your prayers and financial support!
