Howdy!
May was another crazy month but we still got our newsletter out in perfect time (it might have been put on the website around the middle of the month and I never really sent it out after that). This month was full of Church events, Graduation, celebrations, holidays, and more. So I might as well get into it!
Total City
The church plant we joined in Mechanicsburg has been going very well. On May 24th we had our first “church service” outside by a river at Messiah University and baptized 15 people! We also have a location and start date: September 13th at Elmwood Academy! Hannah and I have continued to get plugged in- every event we are a part of we get to know more people on the team and in the community. I always leave encouraged by the messages and by being able to help and be a part of the team. We only have a few more months and a few more events until we are in a building every Sunday for church!
Graduation
May 22nd was our students’ graduation. Since then they have all gone home (except Robby who will be leaving here potentially this week). This year was very different for me because it was my first year on staff through the whole program. At the end of year 4, I feel encouraged to hit the ground running in year 5, new ideas, new ways to get involved, things I should do better. We saw important growth in all 3 of this year’s students, and it’s all glory to God. We are blessed to be used in this way at CMTS.
Celebrations
May 23rd (the same weekend as everything else so far written in this newsletter), one of our staff at CMTS, and two of my good friends, Leam & Isabella, got married! We were able to be involved because they had it on the CMTS campus. I really enjoyed being a part of helping set up because of how many different people from different walks of life were working together for one task for one set of people.
The next weekend, Hannah and I had our Happily Ever After Party for anyone who could not make it to the wedding. It was super chill; we had lawn games, good food, showed pictures of the wedding, and got to see so many friends and family. I was blessed to see how many people came and hung out for as long as they did. My brother and a good friend of mine stayed at our house till past midnight.
Between these two celebrations, Mothers Day, and Memorial Day it was a full month of enjoying one day at a time. Memorial Day was very good, getting to be a part of Hannah’s family and going to be with family. Shooting, fishing, and sitting by a campfire on a Monday was a pretty good way to start a week.
The Offices Moved!
Hannah is super excited that the CMTS Main Office has officially moved to above the Auto Shop! She has her own office space, as well as a shared office are for Sandra, the students, and future staff. It’s gonna take some adjusting for sure, but we’re glad to have more space now for new staff like the Housers!
Praises & Prayers

For being such a crazy month, I really didn’t have much to write, but we will always say thank you to those who pray, give, and support us in any way. God is the reason we are here, and He is using you to keep us here. Keep being sensitive to Him and what He’s calling you to do for His Kingdom. We love and appreciate you all so much!
Until Next Time,
Donny & Hannah
