Howdy!
Picture this… the date is October 10th, Sam Mechler and I are driving back from an Equip presentation (spoiler for the October newsletter) and suddenly I remembered how I totally got this newsletter written, edited, and published all before that day. Anyway, here’s the September update.
Total City
Probably one of the biggest and most exciting things that happened this month is that Total City is open! September 13th was our first Sunday and it was a great day. I have been serving in parking and tear down, and Hannah has been serving in the kids ministry. So if any of y’all want to visit and see this thing we have been so excited about, you will find us in those positions. Pastor Josiah has been doing a great job. I keep leaving encouraged and ready to start writing my own sermons from something he shared. God has been moving through this church with people coming to Christ, community, and encouragement.
Personal Life
Outside of Total City our lives have started to slow down a little bit which has been great. Football season started which gives me a reason to stay home and do my best impression of my dad falling asleep on the couch. Overall it felt like we had more time together in September which was a blessing.
In other news we were given a pellet stove, however when I went to start it the other day I found a problem. I believe we got the right part and if I did it will be fixed soon. If anyone knows about fixing pellet stoves, reach out to me. While I can figure something out, I much prefer someone smarter than me to teach me.
Finances
We mention finances every few months and with repairs and other such things coming up it was on my heart simply to mention it again. I believe everything that we have stems from God, all of this is His. We will continue to trust God to provide, and we just ask that you would ask Him if he wants to provide through you. We appreciate everyone that support us financially, spiritually, and physically.

Warehouse
The warehouse has been busy, we have some big projects coming up which is super exciting! A local warehouse has donated 2 times in the last month after a long drought from them. This week alone we received 22 pallets! We continue to see God moving and providing through the warehouse.
Beach Trip
Since moving into our new house, one of our favorite things to do is host our friends & family. We’ve had a couple movie nights, had friends for dinner, & even done a few game nights! It’s been really fun to ahve the space to not only host people for dinner but also have a friend stay the night in the basement.
We also took a group to the beach on the last day of August, what seemed like the last day of summer. We had a really great time hanging out with everyone and getting to know our friends better.
Hangouts
Time is going so fast, being in September already is truly crazy. Hannah and I have been married nearly 7 months. All that being said, let’s get into August before it’s October.
The Offices
Since moving the Front Office to above the Auto Shop, Hannah has been enjoying the new space. Especially the addition of a helper named Abigail. She is our newest staff member, and we might have mentioned her before, but just in case, we’re mentioning her again. Her role is split between Hospitality with Sandra in the mornings and Office/Admin with Hannah in the afternoons. The goal is for her to be a back up for both of them, but also to have a role in the Auto Shop. Praying that happens soon!
